MR BARKLEY IS READY FOR HIS FUREVER HOME! Michigan and surrounding states only. Canada too! 

Barkley is a super sweet 4-year-old corgi. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. HE IS DOG REACTIVE, so socialization  is a must for him. Doggy daycare would be great too. He seems to get along fine with cats. Because he is dog reactive, for now, needs to be an only dog, but he loves all people and children (not tested with children under 5). At first, he didn't seem to know basic commands, but he's a quick study. He now understands "sit" and is working on not jumping on people when he meets them. He does not always come when called, usually when he's outside and wants to stay there. He could spend all day monitoring the backyard squirrels. He loves his walks but is still learning not to pull on the leash. He has a lot of energy but can also be very chill; he just goes with the flow. He gets scared and runs away when anyone yells, even though it's not at him. He is very quiet for a corgi and hardly ever barks. He  can be left out during the day and never causes problems. He is quite independent. Like most dogs, he is terrified of thunderstorms but calms down in his crate. At night, he sleeps like a little angel in his doggy bed beside his foster mom's bed. He is eager to please and would love an owner who can dedicate time to training, exercise, and socialization. A fenced-in yard where he can run and play is a must!
