Boo is estimated to be 8 years old, but still has some puppy energy! He is 15 lbs. He loves to play with other dogs. His foster brother is 13 and not quite as playful. Boo respects when Texas lets him know to back off, but would be happiest with another dog(s) to play with.
He loves to play in the yard, but will attempt to escape if given the chance, so a nice secure place is a must. He is good on a leash and will walk a mile, but give him time to stop and smell all the good stuff out there. He is very friendly with the big dogs on the other side of the fence.
He'll sleep on a bed in your room, but he's really hoping for a furever family that will invite him into the big bed. Sleeping in the big bed is like heaven for this sweet boy!
He is very timid at first. He will need to be given time to decompress and get adjusted to his new surroundings. Until he’s comfortable, he would rather not be touched. He warmed up to our other dog faster than he did the people. But, give him a week or so to adjust and he will be a total lover.
He is completely housebroken (a little marking the first few days, but that has stopped). He comes close and does a delightful happy dance when he wants to go out. He doesn’t bark to come back in, just whines, so you need to be a bit attentive.
He would also do well as an only dog as long as there was lots and lots of attention and love. Behavior with small children and cats is unknown.
Boo is being neutered on 11/15 and will be ready for adoption as soon as he recovers.
