Meet Miss Emmy! She is looking for a home that is not an apartment, with no other pets, and with no small kids. Please read biography thoroughly before applying.

Do you want a super sweet dog who loves to be carried and who will give you lots of gentle kisses?  Emmy is an approximately 5 year-old, piebald Dachshund who was found as a stray. She is spayed, and up to date on vaccines. She had a dental cleaning and lost some teeth, but it hasn't slowed down her eating. She only weighs around 8 pounds and she's the perfect weight for her size.

Emmy would prefer to be the only pet in the home so she can be the queen bee. She will tolerate visiting dogs but she doesn't want to share her people with others. Emmy absolutely loves people, and likes to be touching someone as much as possible. She would love to sleep in the big bed with her new family.

Potty training is a work in progress, so a regular walk schedule will help. She will use potty pads too. She would do best with someone who is home more often than away during the day, but she can be left for 3-4 hours without any problems. She is a barker, so no apartments or attached condos, please.

No small kids (visitors are fine) because she is so small and they make her too nervous.
