Razzle and Lucy are two of the most loving dogs you will ever meet. They have yet to meet a person or animal that they wouldn’t love with their whole hearts. Razzle is 10 years old and Lucy is a 5 year old chihuahua weenie mix. They are a bonded pair of Velcro dogs. These girls are perfectly content to lay on the couch or go on short walks around the block as long as they can be with their humans. They LOVE to cuddle and snuggle up under some blankets. Their ideal home is someone that will let them sleep in the big bed.
Razzle and Lucy are about 12 and 8 lbs respectively. This means you’ll have no trouble carrying one under each arm, but it also means their little bladders cannot handle much more than 5 hours without a potty break. With a good routine accidents can be avoided, but they struggle to make it through the night without needing to go out. They have been successful with puppy pads near where they sleep. They are quiet girls so it will take careful attention to learn their signs. These quiet pups would thrive in any home or apartment with lots of attention and someone that is home more often than not.
Both of these beautiful pups would do well with another calm animal or two, even cats or prey animals like ferrets and rabbits. Their foster home had a free roaming rabbit that they got along with quite well! With Razzle’s age comes calmness and cuteness, but also means she doesn’t like steps very well and will occasionally need help getting up or down elevated surfaces. She is a healthy lady, but did have 4 teeth removed at her recent dental cleaning, so she does better with a little liquid (chicken broth or water) in her hard food. Lucy on the other hand has no issue climbing whatever she needs to lick you right in the face.
Razzle and Lucy need a home with:
• A family that’s home most of the day
• Unconditional love and affection
• Preferably another calm dog to show them the ropes, but this isn’t a requirement
